WASHINGTON, D.C. (SPINews) -- In his Wednesday night show on the subject of political sex scandals, MSNBC’s nonstop yapper Chris Matthews made it clear he won’t brook any nudge-nudge about America’s royal family.
His guest on the show, Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson made the mistake of mentioning Teddy Kennedy and the Chappaquidick incident.
"That was an accident,” Matthews protested.
You mean Teddy wasn't out to get laid that night?
"I only have one thing to say," Matthews later told SPINews, “I’m a personal friend of the Kennedys -- Jack, Bobby, Teddy, Jackie and generations of Kennedys who aren’t even born, and I wrote a wildly popular book on Jack which is more than you have ever done, and when I go on book-signing tours there are lines around the block. And all this about Jack and Marilyn Monroe and Judy Exner and all those other publicity-seeking babes is garbage and I don’t want to hear anymore about it and probably won’t because I won't let 'em.”
“I love the Kennedys,” he added, “almost as much as I love my own voice.”
SPINews has learned he wants to be a Kennedy so bad he would cheat on his DNA tests.
