NEW YORK (SPINews) -- Nationally-acclaimed American writer Philip Roth says he latest book, Nemesis -- published in 2010 -- will be his last.
Roth decided to reread all his books, “and got fed up just before Portnoy's Complaint which he dubbed “imperfect”. “If I did write a new book, it would most likely be a failure,” he adds. “Who needs to read another mediocre book?”
Other American writers tell SPINews they will also quit writing mediocre dreck, including Tom Clancy, John Grisham, James Patterson, Jackie Collins, Dan Brown and the person responsible for Fifty Shades of Grey.
Toni Morrison is making them sign a pledge.

Best news in ages. Oh, but were it real and not just true.
