SCIACCA, Sicily (SPINews) -- Golfer Thorbjorn Olesen won the Sicilian Open this past Sunday under sunny skies at the seaside Verdura Golf & Country Club.
Other than Saturday’s blustery weather, the tournament was picture perfect.
Officials were thrilled.
They told SPINews no golfer threw his clubs, and although the severed head of a thoroughbred did turn up in the pro shop, there wasn't a single vendetta in the gallery and not one caddy said soto voce, “A shame if something was to happen to your putter ... ”
